Impasse
Oct 22, 2016

Brothers and Sisters,

During the last negotiation meeting that lasted 11 minutes, the Union and the County could not come to terms on any of the remaining articles. We are now at an impasse. The process to obtain a ruling by a Special Magistrate has begun and is expected to take us until at least February. If either side disagrees with the ruling of the magistrate then a special hearing will be scheduled. I know this is and has been  a lengthy process and I ask for your continued patience. Hang tough and together. Expect that the County will try to divide us. Stay strong and show our resolve in our actions and words with everyone we talk to about what we are asking. We haven't been unfair in our terms. We haven't asked for any change in our pay scale that hasn't already been given to us. We are asking for a payplan that resolves inadequacies that exist in the current way we are paid. Be prepared to show our unity when the time comes with large turnouts.

Fraternally,

Mitch
