Next weekend is the MDA drive.  We are at Colonial and Ortiz.  Lori, Luis, and Jessica are working hard to get people to show up and help collect money.  Unfortunately, they have gotten a very poor response.  This is very disappointing to see that people are not willing to give a few hours of their time to help those affected.  This is for a great cause.  Families that have children affected by this rely on the services provided by the MDA.  This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others in such a positive way.  If each of us commits to giving a few hours, at the intersection collecting, it'll easily be covered all day all three days.  This is something we participate in that has nothing to do with us other than being in the public eye in a very positive way.  It's always a good time.  There will be food and water supplied for those that are out there.  

We are asking that next weekend, please do not abuse the sick time.  We realize that it is yours to use, but we all know what happens on Saturdays especially.  By not using sick time, it will allow those that want to be out collecting the ability to do so without the likelihood of being mandated for OT.
